A Bit About Leopards

A female leopard will typically give birth to 2-3 cubs, but sadly only one of them will likely survive. They face many threats in their first year of life, mainly from non-paternal male leopards who see them as a threat. Jackals, lions, hyenas, tigers and snakes (to name a few) will also seek out the young cubs as prey.

Mother leopards therefore have to be incredibly devoted to their young to ensure their survival. During the first year of raising her cubs, the mother will abandon her usually nomadic lifestyle and go into hiding with her young, moving them regularly between different dens to avoid detection by predators. These dens will help to keep the cubs secret and safe while the mother is able to go out hunting.

Leopard cubs live with their mother for up to two years before they’re ready to go it alone. Even then, the maternal bonds remain, and cubs will often have reunions with their mothers in the years to come.

Care information

Your print will be carefully rolled, wrapped in acid free tissue paper, and shipped in a reinforced tube. This is the most secure way to send fine art prints, and will ensure that it reaches you in perfect condition, regardless of where you are in the world.

When you receive your print, you can flatten it out very easily by laying it out, image side up on a clean flat surface. Use the supplied tissue paper to cover the image, and lay a few heavy flat objects such as some books over the print. After a day the print will be nice and flat, and ready to frame.
